Time for Work/Vacation

On Sunday morning Mark left to drive back to Vancouver. Shelby and Mark are going to work at the Clark County Fair from August 6-17. Mark went back a week early to help at the restaurant. Shelby and I will be leaving this Sunday. I will be working at the Restaurant. Mark called yesterday and said it was 104 degrees in VA. Then Aaron sent us a text saying that there was a heat advisory for yesterday. HOT!!!

So it is kind of a vacation but not really because we all be working. But then again we get to see the family and the in laws.

Laurel...Adrian...Brittany

Laurel, Adrian and Brittany,

How is it that I have no telephone numbers for all of you? I was calling all the family last night and realized that. But I want to let you know that on Wednesday Mark and I met with our Bishop to get our temple recommends. Then yesterday after church, we met with our Stake President to get it signed. So we are planning on attending the Temple August 27 and 28. We will take out our endowments and then the next day get sealed. We are extending the invitation to all Family to come and be with us even if they aren't available. We are just so excited!!!

Harry Potter and th Half Blood Prince

Over the past week Mark, Mom, Shelby and I have been watching
the past Harry Potter movies. Then this morning we went to see to newest
installment of Harry Potter. Shelby's friend Logan came with us well.
It was another great movie. I was surprised to to find out that it was rated
PG. It tied up some loose ends and leaves things for the next movie.
I thought it was great, Mark wanted more action.

Dang Target

Last night Mark and I went to Target. I was looking for a nice church bag that would be big enough for a sunbeam class. I couldn't find anything that I liked so we left. But we didn't get far. We started the car and then it died. It did that three times before it wouldn't even start. It wasn't a dead battery, when I went to turn it on there was nothing, no sound. So I called Mom to come and get us. We tried jumping it but nothing happened. And our clicker wasn't working to lock the doors. We ended up leaving the car in the Target parking lot over night. I was so frusturated because I know nothing about cars and that is why we bought a new one so I wouldn't have to worry about car problems. I haven't even had the car for 2 years and it won't start. First thing this morning I called Chrysler and they reminded me that I have Free Roadside Assistance through Chrysler. So they got me a tow truck to meet us at Target. And they towed it to the Chrysler dealership in Nampa. Around 2 we got a call saying that it was all fixed. They had to replace the "keyless control module." Weird!!! But thank goodness for warranties because the car was fixed for FREE!!!!

My Sister's Keeper

As some of you know, Jodi Picoult is one of my favorite authors. She wrote my Sister's Keeper and its now a movie. Mom, Shelby, Madi and I went and saw it today. We were crying within the first ten minutes. When I read the book I cried all the way through it and now the same with the movie. It was a great and some what controversially movie. GO SEE IT!!!

Rachel Polooza

After we were all showered and clean and when it got dark, around 10 ish
Mark, Mom and I shot off some fireworks. (Dad is still out of town and Shelby was not here.)
We didn't do that many, they were left over from last year.
But there were tons of fireworks going off all around us.

Mark got me flowers for my birthday!

Happy 4th of July

As most of you know today is my birthday. I am a whopping
23 years old. My birthday week has been named
"Rachel Polooza!"
And like always we spend my birthday at the lake.
So here are a few pictures.

Another Day at the Lake

Dad is out of town this week, so the four us plus
Shelby's friend went to Lucky Peak.
Shelby and Sealy jumping off the dock

My Baby

Shelby and Sealy

Sealy dropped the mayonaise and it splattered
all over them.

We all took turns tubing

Mark and I lounging

This Duck had a broken leg so we were
feeding her. Her name is Bella. She was swimming
with a male duck so we named him Edward. :)

Shebly's legs are sunburned very bad. She looks like
a lobster. Mark has water shoe lines and Mom's knee's are burned.
I'm sunburned on the back of my thighs. I always wear shorts with my
swimsuit but I took them off to even my legs and of course I didn't
use sun block. So the bac kof my legs are a little toasty.
But it was a very fun and relaxing day!
